Thank you for joining me. This is a chronicle of my journey into winemaking in Washington State’s wine country working the grape harvest at Chinook Wines in Prosser. I paused this blog shortly after the 2007 Fall harvest. While I took a break to get married and start a family. My first vintage (my daughter, K) followed in August 2008. I am now in the process of resuming my journey. As of May 2009, I entered the winemaking program at WSU. The posts that follow will focus on my experiences going through the program. I continue to pay attention and participate in fascinating social media world of wine tasting, wineblogging. I’m really amazed at the meteoric rise of particular winebloggers, of GrapeRadio, other winepodcasters and videocasters. And, I continue to be pleased with the success of CrushPad which started in San Francisco. There is plenty of room for all of our voices and efforts in this “space” where wine, technology and media intersect. It’s exciting to witness and be part of it. While I may be busy with my coursework and being a mom to my daughter, I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Please drop me a line at thewineapprentice dot gmail you know the rest.
Cheers!
